3. Test Principle 

A cellulose sample of 30 g is added to the wash water. Water sprays onto the slotted screen through the calibrated ring nozzle. Due to the vibrating movement of the membrane and the slotted screen, fibers and parts smaller than 0.15 mm are washed through the screen and washed away. The splinters remain on the slotted screen. The wash cycle ends after 20 minutes. The water is drained. The splinters remaining on the sieve are washed off, collected, dried and weighed. The percentage distribution of the splinters to the pulp used is calculated.
